BACKGROUND
FACILITY CONSULTING GROUP (FCG) was founded in September of 1993 as a subsidiary of Utility Technology Engineers-Consultants (UTEC) for the express purpose of assisting building owners and facility managers in caring for and protecting their buildings. Michael R. Auman is the Senior Consultant and Managing Partner. FCG’s offices are in Asheboro, NC.

Our goal at FCG is to help preserve buildings and equipment through predictive, preventive maintenance. This is accomplished through a dedicated staff of trained, experienced, professionals with the ability to assess and evaluate existing facilities and the monitoring of new and retrofit construction using state-of-the-art, high-tech methods and equipment.
We are a consulting firm uniquely qualified for conditional assessment of facilities. Our senior staff has many years of general contracting and roofing experience and is skilled in the areas of Roof Design, Evaluations and Inspections; New Construction and Repairs; Infrared Thermography covering building envelope, electrical, steam lines, and power equipment; Project Management; Construction Monitoring; Cost Estimating; and Laboratory Testing of Materials.
Our test equipment includes an Infrared Thermal Imaging Radiometer, a nuclear moisture detector, a Capacitance Moisture Detector, Delmhorst Moisture Probes, and Raytek Infrared Thermometers.
